What is a skin tag?
A skin tag is a small, soft growth of skin. Skin tags commonly develop in areas where skin rubs against skin or clothing.
Although skin tags are usually harmless, other skin lesions can sometimes look similar. We do not diagnose skin conditions and will not treat a lesion if there is uncertainty about its identity.
How does CryoPen treatment work?
CryoPen applies controlled freezing to the targeted area.
The treated skin tag may subsequently change in appearance as the area responds and heals.
Results and healing times vary, and you may sometimes need further treatment.
Is CryoPen treatment painful?
People experience CryoPen treatment differently.
You may experience cold, stinging or discomfort while the area is being treated, and some tenderness may occur afterwards.
Your practitioner will explain what you are likely to experience before proceeding.
Will one treatment remove my skin tag?
Not necessarily.
The number of treatments required can vary depending on the size, location, and response of the skin tag.
Some may respond following one treatment while others may require additional sessions. Complete removal cannot be guaranteed.
Can CryoPen be used on every skin tag?
No.
Treatment depends on the location and characteristics of the skin tag as well as your individual suitability.
We will not treat a lesion if we are uncertain about its identity or consider treatment inappropriate.
Can skin tags come back?
Treating an individual skin tag does not prevent other skin tags from developing.
We cannot guarantee that a treated skin tag will not recur or that additional skin tags will not develop elsewhere.
What if I’m unsure whether it is actually a skin tag?
Do not assume that an unexplained skin growth is a skin tag.
If a lesion is new, changing, unusual, bleeding without an obvious cause, or you are unsure what it is, seek appropriate healthcare advice.
Lipo 360 does not diagnose skin lesions.
