CryoPen Treatment for Suitable Warts

Warts are small skin growths caused by certain types of the human papillomavirus (HPV). They are common and can develop on different areas of the body.
Many warts are harmless and may eventually disappear naturally without treatment. However, some can persist, become uncomfortable or cause cosmetic concern.
At Lipo 360, we offer consultation-led CryoPen treatment for suitable warts.
We assess suitability individually and will not treat a lesion if there is uncertainty about what it is or whether treatment is appropriate.
Results vary between individuals. Some warts may require more than one treatment session, and we cannot guarantee successful removal.

What Are Warts?

Warts are small skin growths caused by infection with certain strains of the human papillomavirus (HPV).
They can vary in size, shape and appearance. Depending on their location and type, they may feel firm or rough and can sometimes develop small dark dots caused by tiny blood vessels within the wart.
Warts can occur on areas including the:
  • Hands
  • Fingers
  • Arms
  • Legs
  • Knees
  • Face
Warts on the soles of the feet are commonly known as verrucas.
Some warts disappear naturally over time, while others can last longer.
If you are unsure if a skin growth is a wart, particularly if it is new, changing, unusual, bleeding, or causing concern, seek appropriate healthcare advice before considering cosmetic treatment.

CryoPen Treatment for Warts

CryoPen is a handheld cryotherapy device that delivers controlled cooling to a targeted area of skin.
During treatment, the CryoPen applicator is directed at the targeted area, where controlled cooling is applied for a short period. The surrounding skin is avoided as far as practicable during application.
The response to cryotherapy varies between individuals and between different warts.
Some warts may respond following one treatment, while others may require additional sessions. In some cases, treatment may not achieve the desired result.
We therefore do not guarantee complete or permanent wart removal.

Can All Warts Be Treated?

No. Treatment suitability depends on factors including the location, size and appearance of the wart, your medical history and whether the lesion is appropriate for CryoPen treatment.
Before treatment, we will discuss the area with you and assess whether treatment appears suitable.
Lipo 360 does not diagnose uncertain skin lesions.
If we are not confident that a lesion is a wart, or some features require further assessment, we may recommend that you speak to an appropriate healthcare professional before treatment is considered.

When Should I Seek Medical Advice?

You should consider seeking advice from an appropriate healthcare professional if a skin lesion:
  • Is new or changing
  • Has changed significantly in size, shape or colour
  • Has an unusual appearance
  • Bleeds without an obvious cause
  • Is persistently painful
  • Becomes inflamed or shows signs of infection
  • Does not appear to be a typical wart
  • Is located in a particularly sensitive area
  • Is causing you concern
  • Has not previously been identified and you are unsure what it is
CryoPen treatment should not be used as an alternative to appropriate medical assessment where this is required.

What Happens During CryoPen Treatment?

If treatment is considered suitable, your practitioner will explain the procedure and what you may experience before treatment begins.
The CryoPen device is used to apply controlled cooling to the targeted area.
The treatment itself is generally brief, although treatment time depends on the size, location and nature of the area being treated.
Individual experiences vary. You may experience temporary discomfort or a stinging sensation during treatment.

What Happens After Treatment?

The treated area may change in appearance following cryotherapy as the skin responds to treatment.
Temporary effects can include:
  • Redness
  • Swelling
  • Tenderness
  • Blistering
  • Crusting or scabbing
  • Temporary changes in skin colour
These effects can vary between individuals.
You will receive appropriate aftercare information after treatment.
Avoid picking or scratching the treated area while it is healing.
If you experience an unexpected or concerning reaction following treatment, contact your Lipo 360 practitioner or seek appropriate healthcare advice.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

There is no fixed number of sessions suitable for everyone.
Some warts may respond after one treatment, while others may require repeat sessions.
Factors such as the size, location, and characteristics of the wart, as well as your individual response to treatment, can influence the outcome.
Your practitioner can discuss whether further treatment may be appropriate after reviewing how the area has responded.
We cannot guarantee that CryoPen treatment will completely remove a wart or prevent it from returning.
Can Warts Come Back?
Yes. Because warts are associated with HPV infection, a wart may recur following treatment and new warts can also develop elsewhere.
Treating a visible wart does not mean future warts cannot develop.
Is CryoPen Suitable for Everyone?
No. CryoPen treatment may not be suitable for everyone, and certain medical conditions, medications, skin characteristics or treatment locations may affect suitability.
Your practitioner will discuss relevant health information and treatment considerations with you before proceeding.
If treatment is not considered appropriate, we will explain this and may recommend seeking advice from an appropriate healthcare professional.
Does CryoPen Hurt?
Individual experiences vary.
Cryotherapy can cause a temporary cold, stinging or uncomfortable sensation during treatment.
The treated area may also feel tender afterwards.
Your practitioner will explain what you can reasonably expect before treatment.

Why Choose Lipo 360?
Our approach is consultation-led and focused on determining whether treatment is appropriate for the individual.
Before LIPO 360 proceeds, we aim to:
  • Discuss the area you would like treated.
  • Consider whether CryoPen treatment appears appropriate.
  • Explain what the procedure involves.
  • Discuss potential side effects and aftercare.
  • Set realistic expectations about possible outcomes.
  • Answer questions before you decide whether to proceed.
We will not proceed with treatment where there is uncertainty about the identity of a lesion or where we believe further assessment is appropriate.
