What is stress incontinence?
Stress incontinence is urinary leakage that occurs when pressure is placed on the bladder, such as during coughing, sneezing, laughing, lifting or exercise.
Is stress incontinence the same as urge incontinence?
No. Stress incontinence generally involves leakage associated with physical pressure or movement.
Urge incontinence is associated with a sudden and difficult-to-control need to urinate.
Some people can experience symptoms of both, which is sometimes referred to as mixed incontinence.
Does Lipo 360 diagnose stress incontinence?
No. Lipo 360 does not diagnose urinary or pelvic health conditions.
If your symptoms have not been assessed, are new, unexplained or concerning, we may recommend speaking to an appropriate healthcare professional.
How does Lipo 360 pelvic floor muscle stimulation work?
The treatment uses electromagnetic technology to stimulate repeated contractions of the pelvic floor muscles while you remain seated and fully clothed.
Is the treatment surgical?
No. The treatment does not involve surgery, needles or incisions.
Will it cure stress incontinence?
We do not claim that pelvic floor muscle stimulation will cure or resolve stress incontinence.
Individual responses vary, and we cannot guarantee any particular outcome.
Can it replace pelvic floor exercises or physiotherapy?
It should not be considered a replacement for medical assessment, prescribed pelvic floor exercises, pelvic health physiotherapy or other treatment recommended by an appropriate healthcare professional.
Can I have treatment at home?
Lipo 360 provides a mobile treatment service in selected areas of the UK.
Availability depends on your location, and all treatments are subject to consultation and suitability.
